voices and found percussion via video conferencing
Program Note:

lonely uses selected words and phrases from William Wordsworth's I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud to examine solitude. The work explores both the peace and sadness that can come as a result of loneliness. Each performer is called to use their voice and a found percussion instrument, which should be a gift given to them by someone they love, a representation of the fact that none of us is ever truly alone. The work is composed to be performed via video-conferencing software with performers isolated from each other.
