last night i dreamt of flying is a soundscape-based work drawing on my own experiences with dreaming.  For much of my life, I suffered from regular night terrors to the point where I would often experience severe sleep deprivation.  At age 16, I was first given medication for this issue, but as a side effect I stopped experiencing dreams entirely for several years.  Recently, I have started to reexperience normal dreams.  This work is based on a recent one in which I flew over an unknown area.  It uses both metered and unmetered sections to capture the sensation of flight through the hazy lens of the subconscious mind.
